We are happy to announce the release of our new physics-inspired low-light image enhancement algorithm VEViD to PhyCV. VEViD, or Vision Enhancement via Virtual Diffraction and Coherent Detection, was recently introduced in a publication in eLight. The algorithm performs both low-light image enhancement and color enhancement with ultra-low latency and can be used to increase the accuracy of computer vision models in low-light conditions. For more information about the code and examples, you can find documentation here.
PhyCV is available on GitHub and can be installed from pip. Contributions to PhyCV are welcomed and encouraged!
